I have learned something valuable this week. Your past does not hinder you from living for today. Yes, your past tells a story about who you used to be, but it does not determine who you are today. Your past is just that–your past.
We all have a history we would love to erase, but God intended it to be a testimony. It may not look pretty, but, in God’s eyes, our past is just a moment when we were beautifully broken, desperately needing His presence.
Let our past remind us of who God is in our lives, and how He turns something ugly into something beautiful.
Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
