The Old: 2015 and The New: 2016

Year 2015 has been interesting, to say the least.  I experienced heartache, frustration, disappointment, and the unexpected. God has been with me through it all.  This year tested my faith.  Would I strengthen my relationship with God through hardship or would I let satan win by giving up?

I truly believe I passed the test.  I learned how to keep my hope in the midst of chaos by leaning on God for the answers.  Yes, I made mistakes along the way but nothing that God couldn’t fix.  I even walked away from God for a short time to seek my own desires but found my way back to Him.

God wiped my every tear.  He carried me through life’s storms.  He showed me that I’m a strong person who can handle anything that comes my way.

Year 2016 will be all about believing in the impossible.  I want to believe again in dreams that have yet to be fulfilled.  I want to love God and know God for who He is.  God will be my everything in the good and the bad.  2016 will be a year to remember!

Jesus

I have been pondering for days on what to write for Christmas.  I wanted to write about the true meaning of the holiday.  I did not want to write about the world’s view of what Christmas looks like.

It’s not about buying everyone everything on their wish list.  It’s not about how many decorations you have in your home.  Yes, those things are great but there’s more to Christmas.  We get all wrapped up in commercializing the holiday that we forget what this day really means.

Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior! He came to earth to die for our sins.  He left heaven to be with us! Jesus was God in human form. What other gifts can compare to Jesus!?! Jesus is the true meaning of Christmas!

Tomorrow, 2,000 years ago, Jesus came to our rescue by being born by Virgin Mary. He is our miracle! Let us not forget the true meaning of the first Christmas with baby Jesus laying in a manger! Let us remember He grew up to be our Savior! Let’s be thankful for His sacrifices He made for us so we could know Him in our hearts!

That’s the true meaning of Christmas!

God is my Healer

For six years I have been sick with sinus infections, nausea, migraines, low blood pressure issues, face pressure, swelling in the face, fatigue, and sore throats.  I was misdiagnosed and over-medicated by doctors.  I was even told I needed to see a psychiatrist because nothing was wrong with me.   I almost gave up on doctors until I found a primary doctor who finally listened to me.

I was diagnosed with Chronic Sinusitis and a low immune to pneumonia.  My immune levels were boosted with a vaccine.  Last week I had sinus surgery.   It was a long journey to get the correct diagnosis.

Yesterday I was able to breathe through my nose for the first time in six years and be clear of all infection in my sinuses. Nausea is gone and no more low blood pressure issues.  Even my headaches are milder than usual. I’m getting stronger every day.

God may not have healed me before surgery, but He is healing me now.  I truly believe God guided the surgeon and used man to heal me.  I’m grateful that God cares about my every need! For the first time in six years, I’m healthy!

Praise God for His hand in my life!

Peace in the Midst of Chaos

I have recently found peace while going through hardship.  Through the tears and confusion, I searched for God’s peace over my life.  Little by little I began to trust God more with my circumstances.  I found some good truths by spending time in His presence.

#1)  Peace is only found in Jesus.

The world wants us wrapped up in the world’s chaos and cause confusion, but God has the perfect plan for our lives.

#2)  Seeking peace must be intentional.

If we want peace, we have to surrender all our worries and cares onto the Lord and believe in His peace for our lives.

#3)  To have peace, we must believe that God is good all the time.

Even in our darkest moments, we have to believe that God is with us, and He is good.

Life is full of trouble, but we can always find peace with God through prayer and worship!  In time of trouble, we must stand up for our faith.  The world may try to tear us down, but the Lord keeps us from falling apart.  He gives us His peace and comfort through hardship.  He is the one to lean on when we need to find peace in our lives!
